Muhlenberg County Fire Association Drill Tower

The ribbon cutting for the new Muhlenberg County Fire Association Drill Tower.  All events on Friday, March 24, 2006 were previously scheduled for outside, but due to weather constraints, everthing after the cutting of the ribbon were moved into the Muhlenberg County Senior Citizens Center.  Several State officials were on hand for the event including Ronnie Day, Executive Director of the KCTCS State Fire Commission, and Jimmy Van Cleve, KCTCS Area 3 Coordinator.  State Representative Jerry Rhoades was scheduled to appear, but due to legislation in Frankfort, was unable to attend and sent his dearest apologies. and congratulations on the new training tower.  However, he did advise that he would do his very best to push through a new grant application for a Multi-Purpose Building to accompany the new tower.

Burn Room Shot. The two dark spots above FM-7 (Alan Gregory) are temperature sensors. There are three sensors total.

Some just can't handle the cold. *LOL*

The building itself is completed. Electrical work is due to be installed and completed hopefully by March 24, 2006. A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for that same day at 1600 hours (4:00pm).
