The Muhlenberg South Middle School has been established to provide for the unique needs of the adolescent in grades seven and eight. During this transitional stage of development, the middle school creates a bridge between the elementary classroom and the departmentalized, subject oriented high school. Therefore, the middle school philosophy reflects our concern for meeting the needs of learners during this period of their development.
We believe that our staff must provide a program that is designed to work in concert with the changes occurring to students' intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development. We will endeavor to establish a curriculum that takes into account the diverse economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds of our students while enhancing each student's feelings of well being and self worth.
We will strive to make every teacher a leader and every student a success. Above all, we will seek to implement life skills through careful individual and team planning, professional growth, and other efforts that serve to foster creative and caring teachers.
